At D&D Focus, we specialise in dyslexia assessments and one-to-one tuition for children — helping families get the answers they need and the support that makes a real difference.
Whether you're looking for a formal assessment, specialist tuition, or simply not sure where to start — you're in the right place.
We work with children and adults of all ages, in person in Southfields, SW19, or online. Everything we do is tailored to the individual — because no two learners are the same.

Understanding how you learn can change everything.
Whether you're a parent looking for answers, an adult who has always wondered why things felt harder, or a school seeking clarity — a dyslexia assessment is a positive first step.
We assess children and adults of all ages. Sessions can be done in person in Southfields, SW19, or online — so we can support you wherever you are.
Our experienced assessors use the latest assessment materials and assess to the new SASC 2024 definition of dyslexia, so you can be confident your assessment is fully up to date.
What you get
We go beyond spotting difficulties. We look at the full picture — including strengths — and provide clear, practical recommendations to help you or your child get the right support.
You'll receive a detailed report written clearly for schools, specialist teachers, families, and employers. It covers what was found, what it means, and what to do next.
For children, we also include a separate report written just for them — in plain language, focusing on their strengths and the strategies that will help them shine.

The right support can make a real difference.
We offer one-to-one specialist tuition for children, either in person in Southfields, SW19, or online.
Every child learns differently. That's why every lesson is planned around your child — their strengths, their gaps, and the way their brain works best. There are no off-the-shelf programmes here.
How it works
In the first session, we carry out a relaxed, informal assessment to get a clear picture of where your child is and what they need. This helps us set the right targets from the start.
Lessons focus on developing reading, spelling and writing building skills step by step in a way that sticks. Children are given memory cards and homework to practise between sessions — so new skills become second nature, not just something they do in lessons.
At the end of each academic year, you'll receive an update on the progress your child has made.
